A Letter From Utako

Dear Friends,

My name is Utako, I'm the founder of SkyBridge. I'd like to tell you a little bit about this amazing project band... SkyBridge.

We came from all over the world, had various experiences, backgrounds and dreams. None of us knew each other before we all gathered for the love of music 7 years ago. We met each other at Berklee College of Music, and now, we are connected through music. Did this happen only because we're Berklee students? - No, this could happen to anyone in the world.

Our goal is to share our music and to connect with everyone. We believe that music is something to be created by everyone, not just artists or professional musicians. Our music is for that, to be shared with you.

My vision for this project band is to use music to connect people. Unlike many other bands, I see SkyBridge as a project band that creates music with our audiences not only with our band members. To go further, a project band which audience (regardless of my presence) use SkyBridge's music to connect people. I strongly believe that music is a powerful tool to bring pure emotion out, if you hear good music, you move with it, and you can't deny it.

We have been very fortunate to be able to hold workshops and performances in the U.S., Japan, Croatia Kenya and Uganda so far and I hope SkyBridge can keep travelling around the world to meet and connect with people who have different backgrounds. Our music shows stories and purpose-- such as promoting peace, sharing love, giving encouragements and creating hope.
